3M 50383 Perfect-it III Ultrafina SE Polish
Achieve the ultimate showroom finish with the 3M Perfect-It III Ultrafina SE (PN 50383). Formulated as an ultra-fine automotive polish, this product is the ideal final step in your paint-correction workflow—designed to remove machine-polish swirls, holograms and faint buffer haze, even on dark or black vehicles.
Key Features & Benefits:
-
Effectively removes fine machine-polish swirls (“holograms”) for a mirrored, high-gloss finish.
-
Produces swirl-free results even on challenging dark or black paintwork—ensuring that deep, flawless look.
-
Excellent handling and fast cleanup—designed as the finishing polish after compounding and polishing stages.
-
Part of the colour-coded “III” series by 3M, intended for professional refinishing workflows.
How to Use:
-
Ensure that heavier sanding or compounding stages are complete (this product is not intended for heavy defect removal).
-
Fit a suitable polishing machine running at approximately 1,400-2,000 rpm with a recommended pad (for example, the 3M Ultrafina High Gloss Polishing Pad PN 50388 or 50389).
-
Shake the container, apply an appropriate amount of polish over a ~0.5 m² panel area: a thin film of product should remain after 3-4 passes.
-
Begin with medium pressure to remove swirls, then switch to light pressure to refine the finish. The product stays “wet” on pad and is not aggressively cut-oriented.
-
After polishing, remove the residue with a suitable polishing cloth—preferably the 3M Ultrafina Polishing Wipe PN 50400.

Why Choose This Product?
For professional bodyshops, detailing specialists and automotive finishers seeking a flawless, swirl-free, high-gloss finish—especially on premium or dark paintwork—the Ultrafina SE stands out. It’s engineered not for heavy-cut correction but for the final refining and finishing process, enabling you to present a mirror-like surface with minimal additional polishing passes.
Usage Note:
Use this as the final polish step—not as a heavy compound alternative. If heavier correction is required (e.g., deep scratch or 1500-grit sanding marks), you should first use a suitable compound before switching to Ultrafina SE.
